help: clear skin

The problem
Spots are a very common skin problem, with consequences that go beyond simply physical. From pimples and mild acne to more severe forms like cystic acne, breakouts can affect a person's confidence, sense of well-being and ability to go out and meet people. Acne usually starts during puberty between the ages of 12 and 14, when increased levels of the male-type sex hormones androgens stimulate the sebaceous glands to increase production of sebum1.

While teen acne is very common, people of all ages can get acne. At an estimate, acne affects 25 percent of men and 50 percent of women at sometime in their adult lives. People can develop acne, or have a recurrence of acne, in their 30s, 40s and beyond2.

The solution
help: clear skin uses the power of nature and science to tackle the problem of acne and spots. This innovative nutraceutical product is designed to bridge the gap between nutrition and pharmaceutical drugs, incorporating the best of both worlds: natural ingredients with clinically proven health benefits.

help: clear skin contains 100% natural ingredients including Praventin – a bioactive protein extracted from milk using advanced scientific methods – that has been proven to deliver results after a minimum period of six weeks. All health claims are supported by clinical studies. For more information, please have a look at the ‘How it Works’ section.

help: clear skin is water-soluble, allowing it to dissolve in water, other non-carbonated beverages and soft foods while retaining its full effectiveness. It won’t alter the taste or texture of your drink or food. Take a sachet of help: clear skin twice a day – just add it to your favourite drink or soft food - for a minimum of six weeks for best possible results.

Our promise to our customers is what we call the ‘timeline to efficacy’ – people should see directly tangible results in their skin after six weeks of twice-daily use of help: clear skin. However, every person is unique in their genetic makeup, and if results cannot be seen after this period of use, we recommend that you seek an alternative solution.

How it works
Praventin – the key ingredient in help: clear skin - is rich in Lactoferrin, known to reduce the development of bacteria responsible for many skin impurities. In addition, Lactoferrin also helps to prevent blemishes and spots forming due to its antimicrobial effect.

Praventin is a natural ingredient derived from milk, which has been proven to help people achieve a clearer complexion by enhancing the body’s natural defences. It limits the growth of acne bacteria, reduces the blemishes associated with acne and assists in the repair of damaged skin cells caused by blemishes. Clinical research has shown that people with acne-prone skin who add 200g of Praventin to their daily diet noticed a median reduction of 71% in blemishes by week four and a staggering 95% median reduction by week eight.

Although Praventin can be found in milk, the beneficial skin clearing effect is only activated when this bioactive protein is extracted from the milk. This means that drinking litres of milk is not going to deliver the same benefit. An easy and effective solution is to simply take a sachet of help: clear skin twice a day to get the required measured dosage of Lactoferrin.

In addition to Praventin, help: clear skin contains:

  • Aloe Vera: a high extract of this healing plant has a smoothing and nourishing effect on the skin
  • Oligofructose: a natural source of soluble fibre. Increasing fibre intake prevents your body from expelling toxics that affect the skin and help avert acne
