The Works with Water Nutraceuticals’ Help: a Heart,
Nominate your Hero campaign has now come to an end – thank you so
much to everyone who took part. Over the past month we have had some fantastic
entries from people nominating their personal heroes in their own lives.
The feedback from the people who took part is that our campaign really helped
you to stop for a minute and appreciate the people who you usually take
for granted – so the Help: a Heart campaign really did help hearts!
Here is our final winner:
Week
4 winner: Maxime (via blog), who nominated her Mum
Natalie's hero nomination statement: “Writing
about my mum for you made me realize what a true hero she is in my eyes
and that I do not appreciate her half as much as I should. My mum is due
to have 2 – 3 separate operations this year and although they are
nothing major or life threatening she will still need to rest. I know she
won’t. She will put me and my needs first. Always.
My mum is not just a mum and a wife, because with those titles come so,
so, so many more. She is a cook, a cleaner, a taxi, a dog walker, a nurse,
a vet, a bank, a personal shopper, an agony aunt, not to mention a mother,
a wife, a sister, an aunt, a step mum, a step grandmother, a step great
grandmother… The list goes on. She will never be just a mum to me.
She will always be my best friend. My hero.
Thank you so much for making me see just how much my mum means to me. Before
I only saw her as a mum, I never realized she was actually working several
jobs all at once just to look after me. She is the most incredible person
I have ever met and she is the biggest and best hero I could ever ask for.”
The Works with Water Nutraceuticals judging panel chose
Maxime’s hero to receive the prize of a Healthy Heart Warming Hamper,
as they felt that her entry summed up what the whole competition was about
– recognizing and appreciating the hard work that your nearest and
dearest put into you every day, because they love you!
